See Photos & Video of a Cuban Beach Day!
Day 3 in Cuba was an exciting day for us. This was the day we chose to be our Beach Day. We have heard so much about how beautiful the Cuban beaches are. This was the day we got to find out for ourselves. The trip by bus took 2.5 hours to reach Varadero, Cuba. We made it to Brisas del Caribe resort. We spent the day enjoying all the comforts the resort had to offer. That included restaurants, pools, hot tubs however, the main draw was the beach! The beach was beautiful and had that Caribbean feel. There was lots of sand, palm trees in the backdrop and a long coast line. It was everything we had been told. The beach was delightful.
The beach was very nice. It was spacious, clean and the water was clear. It was that perfect aqua blue that you see only in parts of the Caribbean. The water was warm around 80 degrees and the wind was blowing steadily. One of the reasons I came to Cuba was to see the beach. This made it worth the 184 km ride.
Cuban Pool Party
As I returned from the beach, I arrived just in time for the Cuban Pool Party to begin. The Party featured a live performance from local musicians. They sang Reggaeton and Hip hop with a Cuban flair. They were certainly entertaining and the ladies were giving them all of their attention. The young people really began to enjoy and express themselves. The young men who sang lead really got the crowd into their show. I captured some of it on video.
We enjoyed the Cuban Pool Party. The entertainers were good. I had a drink or two and got in a dance. Sadly it was time to go. It was time to pack up our belongings and meet up with our group. We headed back out for the 2.5 hour return trip that began as the sun started to set. Day 3 was an exciting day for us. This was our Beach Day!
