Bimini Part 2 – “When & Why to go!”
If you read Bimini Part 1 – “Where to go!” then you already know that Bimini is part of the Bahamas. The Bahamas is a country full of Black People and that Bahamians are close culturally to us African-Americans in the United States. We attempted to take you around the island of Bimini. Helping Travelers to become familiar with shopping, restaurants, and lodging on the island. We also touched upon the beaches and recreational pools. Let me give some ideas as to when and why you should come to Bimini.
Bimini is a place that most Black People have never gone and many have never heard of. However, Black Travelers will enjoy Bimini. Those who know some of the histories of the island know this island played a role in Black History. The island of Bimini is where both Martin Luther King Jr and Adam Clayton Powell visited. More recently in American history, Senator Gary Hart was photographed on Bimini in the back of a Boat called the Monkey Business with Donna Rice which ended his Presidential bid and his political career. It is the yearning for relaxing, fun in the sun and getting away that brings people to Bimini. That is if you are not into fishing or yachting.

Then based on the size of your Party grab a golf cart for 2, 4,6, 8 or 10. Grab breakfast at Tropics then travel the Island from tip to toe resting at the Beach by CJs and dancing to the music. Grab a snack at CJ’s Deli and have a cocktail or two at the bar. Relax the rest of the day soaking up the ambiance of a Caribbean Island. That is something different for your Birthday. You will be the envy of all your Friends and Family who did not make the trip and you did not bust your budget.
Time to relax or get away
When you want a place to relax or get away think of Bimini. Bimini does not have all the tourist traps that Nassau and Freeport are full of. Nor does Bimini have all the hustle a bustle that you have with more well-known places. Bimini does have some of the best beaches and pools. Good food and plenty of bars. It is also a fraction of the cost of Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Nassau or St. Thomas.
Bimini is part of the Bahamas. Bahamians are our cultural cousins. Its close proximity to the US makes it easy to get to. The climate is very similar to South Florida and the ocean water is warmer. The trip to Bimini is inexpensive. Making the Island of Bimini is an excellent choice for Black Travelers.
