Cuba Day 3 – Continued into the Night

Day 3 continued Night of Day 3 Sights and Sounds of Cuba

Polenesio Restaurant Bar Dinner

Dinner at the Polenesio Restaurant Bar

Stopped in to see a live band perform.  We watched the band but not for long.  We left because the restaurant did not have any more seafood.  No fish, shrimp or lobster; Only Pork and Beef.  We remembered we passed we said we wanted to try and thought we would run back there.  We ate dinner at Polenesio Restaurant Bar.  The restaurant serves Polynesian cuisine and is only a couple of blocks from the Airbnb we are staying at.  I had Pork Polynesian.  Nikki had Barbecue Chicken.  Both came with fried rice.  Nikki tried the local beer called Bucanero.  She said it had a strong taste of malt without the bitter after taste.

Havana Libre Hotel's Nataly Show.

The Nataly Show at the Havana Libre Hotel.

We went to Hotel Habana Libre, across from our Airbnb to see the Nataly Show.  The show is performed nightly at 11 PM on the 25th floor of the hotel.  The 25th floor has an amazing view of Havana from 2 sides.  This is an old style Cuban show with dancers in colorful costumes and large headdresses.  We would compare this to out Las Vegas shows.  The show has several wardrobe changes and a live band.  The singing and dancing is something to see.  The cost of the show is only $10 CUC if you are not staying in the Hotel Cuba Libre.

An Entertaining Show

We really enjoyed the show. The singing was outstanding.  The musicians were showmen and displayed their talents.  The dancers were good and got the crowd involved.  They went into the audience and brought people to the dance floor.  During the show, we tried the house Margarita and Pina Coladas.  We really liked the Pina Coladas!  We staggered back across the street worn out from the 4:45 AM awakening and day at the beach.  I am truly glad we made it to the show tonight.  It was 1:23 AM when we arrived back in the apartment.  The spirit of Cuba came through in the music.  What a wonderful time.  A wonderful day.  An exceptional evening.  We really liked the Pina Coladas!
